And then everything seemed to turn out okay, though I won't really be able to relax until after the presentation. I know what I'm doing, at least, and I know that I can do it. It's the others that I'm a little worried about. I have like four lines, some narration, and part of a gag ("He's an amazing, caring individual!" "Like a boss." "He's determined, compassionate, intelligent!" "Like a boss." Guess which part I am.), as well as two slides that basically amount to explaining tropes. (No, really; I even used trope names off TV Tropes.)

Also, the List of Things I Will Never Draw Again now includes castles, because eleven chimneys and eighty-five windows. I still have twenty-four of them left to do. I'll do them in the morning. If I actually get up when I'm supposed to, it should be fine.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about either presentation; it's true that I'm not worried about the French one, but I am worried about the AP one. We never did get to run through the entire thing; when I left, the powerpoint wasn't even entirely finished. (Of course, my part was, so...) Our skit is about five or six minutes long, and the powerpoint is... kind of long, so it should be able to take up the time we need it to (plus there are videos, and Neeth has a posterboard of... some kind of statistics, I don't really know what). My concern is that we'll end up running over our allotted time... not that we can actually run over, since we get cut off at twenty-five  minutes no matter what, but getting cut off before we're finished would kind of suck.

Also, I ate the most amazing asiago cheese bagel earlier today. It was amazing and delicious. Amazingly delicious, even.

So, I think I'm going to epic fail the maths part of state testing this year for reasons almost entirely out of my control. I mean, I'm doing the best I can, but I realised I was so totally screwed when I opened up the booklet, looked at the first question, and realised I had absolutely no idea how to solve it.

In other news, I love this song to pieces, even though it makes me cry almost every time I hear it. (Which makes for awkward times in French class, since this is quite possibly the only not hip-hop song we've ever listened to.) I thought I got over it, for the most part, but then I noticed the English lyrics and totally lost it again. I don't know what it is about it that does it.

...ahahaha, some idiot's bitching about the way mum plays her ~*~Facebook game~*~ with all kinds of foul language and rudeness and pettiness and whatnot, like some total scrub. Mum's complaining to me about it. It's awesome. And by awesome I mean distracting, so it's cool. (I love internet stuff like this. Must be why I read sf_d all the time, lol.)

In other news, I've got a couple pages of trig homework to do and an act and a half of The Crucible left to read. Blaaargh... (Actually, it's not that bad. Like, at all. The trig is really easy and at least The Crucible isn't The Grapes of Wrath...)

And~! I'm almost finished with mum's gift. The face is giving me the hardest time... right now it looks less like Joe Flanigan and more like a cross between Balthier and Jensen Ackles. orz I'm not sure where I've gone wrong; I'll have to ask Melissa and Kristen and Amanda what's wrong with it again. \: I fixed the eyes and made the face wider, but it still looks off. Mostly today I was working on the background, haha. The Stargate finally looks (mostly) right! :D I'm going to have so much time tomorrow, since the tests are science parts one and two and maths part two, and I'm not taking a science test this year (since I didn't have a science class this year). Oh, and maybe I can ask Sonja during first block tomorrow, too.

I never really realised until now just how much I'm affected by what I read, but now that I think about it, it makes sense. Of course, I would have preferred it if it hadn't ended in me writing actual TotA fanfic /fistshake I mean, I've got nothing against TotA and fanfic, I certainly read enough of it yesterday, but that doesn't mean that I want to be hit by freaking plotbunnies, you know? And of course I can't even figure out where I want to go with it! T:<

Consideration cut - endgame spoilers for Tales of the Abyss )

I guess I should probably write the most challenging one, the most interesting one. I just have to figure out which one that is, first, before I can write it. /:

I have a bunch of make-up work for French class. Mme Moriya's teaching style is so different o____o it's really weird. Also, I might get to play FFXIII tonight, and I probably should - I mean, when l'Cie is the first thing that comes to mind when somebody says LC, I think I might need to do something about it.

J'ai un nouveau portable. Il est un Samsung Flight. Il s'appelle Lancelot.

...well, I have to practice my French somehow. Anyway, that's pretty much the gist of it, except for the part where the digits in the number add up to six. (Only if you don't add the area code, anyway; with that it's three, and plus country code on top of that is four. But for your basic telephone number, it's six.) 'Course, that doesn't explain why I feel like I've sold my soul to get the damn thing. ...though that might explain why I got super dizzy and had to leave the mall twice during the process of buying the phones. |: (I don't have to pay anything for it, though, since after rebate my phone is free, and after dropping a couple things on the contract that dad and brother had, and then adding me, it's... the same as it was before.)

I'm worrying about my cat, now, too. Well, I mean, the last thing any pet owner wants to find is vomit and blood, so of course I'm worried. I mean, there was a claw in it, and there was some blood on his paw, so at first I thought he may have snagged a claw really bad, but his claws all look fine, and he's still acting like maybe there's something caught in his throat, so... yeah, I'm worried. ):

In happier news, I have fifteen chapters of Huckleberry Finn to read and 30 IDs to do tomorrow, and I just found out that David Boreaneaz voiced Leon in the first Kingdom Hearts. And I can't get my free ringtones to work. |:

(Also, trivia: my phone is called Lancelot because, when I turn it on, it says 'Marching Ever Onward To Tomorrow'. :D )

edit: And then I figured out the ringtone thing wasn't working because the file was too big. Working on fixing that right now, so I can at least have awesome Godot ringtone... even if I still have to worry about waking up to dead cat. ):

And then Ashley magicked a video camera from nowhere, so not only did we not have to film with my iPod, but I don't have to do the editing! :D It took us like forty minutes to film, though, because we had to keep stopping while people came in to use the bathroom.

More AVID tutoring. I think I'm getting used to it. It's pretty much exactly the same as it was when I was in AVID, except that I don't have to ask a bunch of questions I already know the answers to. Binder checks aren't that bad, either.

I just walked around the block with my mum. It's apparently a little over half a mile. I wanted to go around twice, but she started feeling it about halfway through, so we couldn't. ): It took us fifteen minutes, too; I could probably have done it in ten or less, but mum's more out of shape than I am so I had to go a little slower than her. And also we stopped for a while to 1) attempt to pet a calico down the block and 2) pet another orange marmalade at the opposite corner. It was so sweet *_____* Such an affectionate kitty <3!

It's so weird not being the one completely out of breath and feeling the burn, and rather being the one who's completely unperturbed by a workout. I was just barely winded, haha. I should have gone around a second time anyway!

Mum just informed me that Nichelle Nichols is speaking at her work next week *_______* I'm so super jealous! D: Apparently Ms. Nichols is a spokesperson for NASA now. I'm really interested to hear what she says! I'll just have to hear it second-hand ):

GS meeting tonight. I still have a tiiiiny bit of work to finish, so I... should probably do that, haha.

And then Madame couldn't get the projector for tomorrow and pushed the due date back to Tuesday. We get time to work in class tomorrow on said project, so I didn't actually have to stay after school for filming and also don't have to spend all night editing. Instead, I get to do APUSH IDs!

Went out and got Pikachu-coloured Pichus for... everyone. (Actually just Kristen, Ben, and Marc. Um, and me.) Then got to go to two different tire places and, in the interim, listen to my brother bitch about how dad should just let him buy the 225s, they're cheaper and just as good, and the 215s he's insisting on are discontinued, meaning no one has them, and... on and on and on.

Also I was really really hungry so I made a box of mac and cheese and ate the whole thing. I put a little too much milk in it, but I was really really hungry so it was still good.

I think I'm going to do my trig homework now. I'd almost say that I feel just like Bella Swan! but she sucks ass at trig and I'm amazing at it, so no, I really don't feel like Bella Swan.

Also, I love my Skullcrushers. They're the best headphones I've ever owned. I love them so much.

Earlier this morning, I realised that I didn't know how to get recorded video off my iPod. I googled it and was freaking out, because every result was linking me to programs that weren't free, which, you know, isn't really an option.

Then I found a "quick tutorial" that said you didn't need any programs, you just had to click a check box and then you could get to them through Windows Explorer. It took me five minutes to realise the check box was 1) there, but greyed out and 2) checked. Basically, I was worrying for nothing.

Also, and I just noticed this, but two of the authors of my main APUSH textbook (there are two textbooks orz) are named Rosenburg. That is one letter away from Ronsenburg.

edit: Found the wig, charged the iPod, unearthed a comb from the depths of the bathroom counter and some Sharpies from the depths of my cabinet drawers and drew a lightning bolt on the comb. (Well, it is 'le peigne éclair' after all...) I am so ready to film this project. /lies

So I just taught myself to use Windows Movie Maker. Of course, by 'taught myself' I mean 'spent five minutes figuring out how to set up my copy of the BBS intro with Simple and Clean instead of Hikari, only to find that the game mix of Simple and Clean I have is a few seconds too long at the beginning, so lamenting and trying to do a photo montage for three minutes instead, only to learn that I can trim down audio clips, and so spending the next five minutes trying to trim the beginning of the game mix of Simple and Clean to sync up with the video the way it's supposed to.'

This is important, because my French project is due on Thursday, and my partner and I haven't started filming yet. Also, neither of us have a real video camera, so we're probably using the camera on my iPod. Which means I'm the one who gets to edit the clips together and hope to God that the final, exported project works on Madame's computer. And also deal with the shitty sound quality that comes from using an iPod as a replacement camcorder.

Did I mention that we have to shoot this in the school bathroom? Yeah, it just keeps getting better and better. /:

My school cannot manage arts exhibitions. I know, I should cut them some slack because it was the first one ever omg but still. There's no excuse for making over 100 students stand around in the mini-gym doing absolutely nothing including PBL, because that was horrible. Though the dance performance was interesting (but I didn't get to see my kitten s-sob) and the band and choir were excellent as usual. And I was pleasantly surprised to find I actually did have a piece in the art exhibition! It... would have been nice to know beforehand, though, because I might actually have volunteered something if I knew I already had something in!

FFXII progress is as follows: did three hunts, though Montblanc's still got one more for me. It's the last rank I hunt, I think. Ended up swapping Balthier and Fran's weapons, so now Fran's got the purple-and-turquoise pole and Balthier's got himself a bow. Did some grinding in the Lhusu Mines, too, though not... really that much, haha. I'm on the Cluckatrice hunt right now but I didn't talk to the NPCs who would let me actually... fight the thing. ): Vaan and Basch levelled up! So they're both 14, Balthier, Fran, and Ashe totes types Asch at first, orz are 15, Penelo's 16, and I've got Vossler at 19 (though he's a guest so he doesn't level up anyway).

French projects involving half the class are not fun. Today is the only day we have to film and we're working through lunch, so I don't get to eat. ): /is hungry. Well, Brody just gave me a Pop Tart, so that helps a little. Haha, but we're working after school, too... ): /has like 21 IDs to do for history. I might just do the ones that are actually due and skip the other ones... or I could do them all but not finish the analyses or... something like that.

I doodled a Metroid comic in art class today. It's cute. I also doodled Metroid... doodles, on the back of my French test yesterday, but I couldn't finish it because I can't remember what Draygon looks like. |:
