Monday, 21 November 2011 10:35 amI've written then deleted more than a few posts over the last week; I'm really not sure why. I plan on actually posting this one, though.
Over the weekend I got about five days behind on my word count, then wrote 6000 words yesterday. If I write about that much today I'll be all caught up... although that might be something of a challenge, as I'm kind of running out of plot. I talked things out with Hanekoma a bit earlier, and although I'm not going with his suggestions exactly, ("Have you killed anyone off yet?" "Um, no..." "Do that, then.") it did help me figure out where to go, so I've got a bit more direction. I then proceeded to spend ten minutes outside of class followed by most of my media class outlining some stuff. (Funny how I was more productive in class, when I was supposed to be doing something else.)
I actually watched The Simpsons last night; usually I don't, because I'm really just not that into it, but last night's was pretty good. I mean, an Ocean's Eleven parody with tween fiction, guest-starring Neil Gaiman? Yeah, I watched it. I think I unnerved my mum with how loudly I laughed at the final twist, but in my defence, it was pretty funny.
(I'm currently plotting how to seat-snipe myself a new seat. I'm in the study hall right now, right, but all the seats next to outlets were taken... but I'm going to need one later. Some dude just got up. I'm trying to figure out how much time is appropriate to wait before taking his seat. ...Maybe I'll wait until his girlfriend leaves, that sounds like a plan.)
Right, so, I'm probably going to work on novelling for the next almost four hours. I should be able to get in at least 6000 words in that time. I mean, I have to do work on a research paper and I have a media essay due, but that's totally less important than catching up on word count. I'm not losing this year, damn it!
(Okay, so seat-sniping now, then writing. Hey, at least I've got priorities.)
