Sunday, 7 February 2010 09:28 amSo Friday I had a milkshake. It was a very good milkshake... actually, no, it wasn't. It was an okay milkshake. I suspect it would have been tastier if I'd gone with the coffee-flavoured ice cream instead of the chocolate-chip ice cream, but I can't really test that theory, and here's why: half-way through my milkshake, I realised something very important. Actually, I remembered something very important, more than I realised it, because I'd already known, just forgotten.
Anyway, I remembered I'm lactose-intolerant.
Yesterday was laundry day at dad's. It was a very boring laundry day, except that I finished one of five drawings I'd scanned into Photoshop with intent to colour. I left the lines in, because I didn't feel like refining it all that much, and instead just coloured over them; I probably should have made the lines less sketchy but I'm pretty pleased with the overall product. Still need to find my camera charger, though!
Also, I think I guilted my dad into buying me a pair of boots. I didn't even do it on purpose; I just wanted to let him stew so he wouldn't make remarks insinuating that I have an interest in hookers/dominatrix... whatever the proper plural of that is. I could get pissy at him for buying them for me, if that is indeed what he's doing, but I'm not actually that annoyed and anyway, my old boots are starting to show off their age and I like those Victorian ones.
In the middle of all that, I beat Phantasy Star III. Last week I went through Lashute and killed off Rulakir, but I wasn't particularly looking forward to going after Dark Force just then. So I did it last night. He was pretty easy to beat, actually. ...and once the battle started, big bro plugged his iPod into his stereo to give me better boss battle music; first some Norwegian death metal, then a couple variations of Ridley's theme, and then the Metroid Metal version of Kraid's theme. And then I killed Dark Force (and got a shitty ending, too... well, all of that game's endings are shitty, but I was at least hoping for the one where they contact Earth. Instead I got the one that was all, "There's a star nearby! We're headed for its third planet, it's perfect for us!" which... at least alludes to Earth, if nothing else.). I need to see if I can't find the binder with my Phantasy Star II guide in it so I can start playing that again.
