Friday, 2 July 2010 03:44 pmSleepover later tonight; I still have to pack for it, lol.
Went swimsuit shopping, both yesterday and today. Yesterday I almost found something suitable, but the top came in all sizes except for the one that would actually fit me, so I had to pass on it. I did find a cute summer dress and a pair of comfy shorts, though. ("I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear!") Then today we checked out some other places and I tried on a couple of things that were both cute and should have fit properly, but didn't, leaving me feel like a fat cow because they should have. So I cried for a little bit and then we went to Old Navy and found something that was both cute and fit properly, and then I felt better. (Oddly enough, this is not the first time mum and I have gone clothes shopping, found things I liked in one place that should have fit bit didn't, leaving me feeling gross, and then went to Old Navy and found cute stuff that actually fit, which begs the question, why don't we just go there first? That's our plan from now on, lol.) Old Navy is such a chill store. I should shop there more often.
Also bought a book on figure drawing. The way the author lays out his drawings is... ridiculously strange, at least to me, because I feel like my stuff is going to end up so incredibly disproportionate without a wire frame sketch (which... it usually does) and the book's author doesn't do that, just starts straight out with head and ribcage shapes. Still, it's got some useful tips proportion-wise, which is what I really wanted.
Also also, ate at Denny's. It wasn't the greatest meal I've ever had, but it wasn't bad, either. Probably shouldn't have gone for the French toast, even though I did finish the bacon and hash browns. I don't remember liking the hash browns there before, but they were pretty decent today. I think I could have done without the super-crowdedness, though. /:
