Tuesday, 20 September 2011 07:37 pmFriday I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 again, this time with my mum. I cried more the second time than I did the first, oddly enough. I then finished revising my Atlas Shrugged essay, didn't hear back from the person who said she'd read over it, and submitted it. (I did hear back from her after the deadline, and she said it was fine. I then spent the next hour analysing the book at her - she didn't finish it, but she wanted spoilers - which devolved into the chemistry between Galt, Rearden, and d'Anconia, followed by Atlas Shrugged fanfiction.)
And then I spent my weekend playing Neverwinter Nights 2. Which was enjoyable.
Today I finally got over to the speech lab, something I really should have done yesterday because then I would have had more time. Still, I got my outline finished, so tomorrow I'll get someone to look it over, then make my cards, and maybe practice. (Or maybe not. I'll have my laptop with me and I really do want to write lots of self-indulgent fanfic.)
In English today we got into groups to peer review our critique essays. I was with two guys I didn't know and this really sweet exchange student (I think I liked her paper the best; her ideas were clear and her arguments were solid, even if her grammar wasn't the best.) Apparently the guys were blown away by the quality of my paper. I'm not sure if it was the fact that I could fluidly integrate quotes into my own writing or that I used words like "abhorrent", "unequivocally", and "prudent". (Maybe it was the semi-colons. I don't understand the whole "semi-colons = omgamazing", but perhaps that's because I practically vomit them in my writing.)
Then in stats class I got to fake stuff to do because I'd finished all the test prep yesterday but the test is tomorrow. I ended up retaking a test just to improve my score (from a 90% to a 96%, omg so amazing) and then finished the drawing I'd started in speech.
My days are not particularly entertaining, I have to say. But I guess they wouldn't be routine if they were.
