It's Halloween and there is a metroid on my head. I don't think it really wants to be there - I spent twenty minutes this morning feverishly sewing hair clips to it and it's been giving me nothing but trouble all day. If I don't move my head much it's not that bad... but it's really difficult to do something like climbing stairs without moving my head. I haven't really heard much about it but I have gotten a lot of weird looks and absolutely no recognition.

That said, I think the best thing I've heard so far was, "I love your hat! What is it?"

I could and/or should be doing stats homework while I'm in here, but I'm actually going to do character surveys so that I can figure out just who the hell I'm writing in this story. I should probably also come up with some kind of vague outline - which would be more than I have right now. (Actually I do have part of a vague outline, but I should probably finish it. Or add details to it.)

I don't know if I'll win the challenge this year, but if I can word vomit essays there's no reason why I can't word vomit a story. Editing is for chumps anyway (says the editor).

I probably should have spent the weekend making a metroid hat instead of a metroid doll. It would have been a lot less trouble.

Finally, this morning I purposely did not pack my mass media textbook, because we never use it in class anyway so I wouldn't need it. As I walked down to the study hall I realised that, even if we don't use it in class, I still use it to prop up my laptop so it doesn't get so warm... and now I don't have it. Oops.
