Friday, 13 July 2012 02:02 pmTS3 keeps crashing my computer. /: I think it might work a bit better if I can clear out the vents a bit, but I need a can of air to do that, so I won't be playing Sims until I get one. (I had an opportunity yesterday, but thanks to other goings on at the time, I forgot completely.)
In the meantime, I've been playing more Ragnarok Online! I rolled an archer a few days ago and it's great fun, except for the part where I forget to equip arrows after I buy them. Fortunately since I buy them in 999 quantities it hasn't happened too often. I've been working on getting the skill so I can make my own, but the internets said you needed a ton of items, some of which were a total pain to acquire, so much so that I did it with my knight instead.
One of these was to get 41 of an item from a monster that could kill me if it mobbed me - which naturally it liked to do. So I spent a few hours carefully luring them one at a time to a nice bridge where I could kill them easily and then rest until my HP was full again. I finally got all the items I needed, and went to hit up the quest.
Only to find out that the NPC actually wanted 41 of a different item, dropped by a similar but weaker monster, and that the internets lied to me. Needless to say, I was not happy.
So now I'm back on my archer and hunting those other monsters with extreme prejudice, to work out my frustration and whatnot. (Of course, they don't give all that great xp - there's another monster in the same area that gives way better xp and does in fact drop items I need for the quest, but I already have all that I need.)
so basically tl;dr: playing Ragnarok Online, I should never trust the internet, killing monsters for drops.
