eighthphaseEarlier this week I was going to make a post about... well, something. I'm glad I didn't, though, because I would very much have regretted it today. In fact, I was reminded that my dad is actually a very good liar, when I opened one of my gifts and saw something from a vendor he'd sworn to me he would never do business with. I don't mind at all that he did, as he bought me the only two things I'd even asked for, and something I didn't.
So I'm now the proud owner of an N7 thermal hoodie, an N7 travel mug, and an N7 SR-2 CIC messenger bag from the Bioware store. :D!
It's actually a pretty good thing he got the mug (which I hadn't actually asked for) as my mum got me the teas and the teapot I asked her for. She gave me my gifts last night, since she was too tired to wrap stuff, so this morning I was looking for a mug to drink some of my new tea from... only all my travel mugs (which I needed one of, since we'd be leaving soon) have mysteriously lost their lids. I eventually pulled one off from the back of the counter that I'd never used because, while it did possess its lid, it was covered in eight years of dust and who-knows-what. After washing it with copious amounts of soap and hot water, I dubiously deemed it fit for use... but after I drank all the tea from it and discovered my shiny new N7 mug you can bet I swapped over to the new, definitely clean one, which was better than the old one in every way.
I had a good Christmas this year. It was small, but everyone got something they'd asked for and hadn't expected to receive, we spent time together as a family, and nobody started shit. (A much rarer occurrence than you might think - which is why I'm so thankful for it.)
