In trading news, I keep getting offers below the 1mil I asked for. Snooze.
In more interesting news, I finally convinced my mum to buy me a Kindle. (She owed me $90, which she was going to pay me back this week; the Kindle Touch is $99 with special offers. I think you can see where this went.) In preparation I've downloaded calibre and am trying to kick my meagre e-book library into something approximating order. I thought I had a few more titles than I did, so I'm going to go looking for the ones I thought I had, and I've got a few things saved in Word documents that I need to glance through for formatting errors then convert to txt files before I import them, but it's really not that hard.
If only organising my physical book collection were so easy. Books in bins, books in boxes, books in bags, books in piles, books on shelves, books on the floor, books on tables, books on chairs, books in my room, books in mum's room, books in the living room, books in the kitchen, books in the garage... We could literally start a library with all the books we have. When If When I get my room all sorted out I am literally going to make a catalogue of every book I own, just so that I actually know what I've got.
And then I'm probably going to sell off all the ones I don't actually like so that I can buy more books.
On the plus side, thanks to Project Gutenberg I don't actually have to find any of my copies of the classics. Unfortunately, since there's over a hundred years between me and the public domain books, I might have to buy some of the more recent stuff.
In other news, I have somehow managed to injure my left wrist. This is surprising, since I'm right-handed. I'm not sure what, exactly, I did to it; I just know that it hurts when I move it and when sometimes when I don't, and that the back of my hand is going wonky on me, too. I have it wrapped right now and I should probably not be using it... like to type this entry. Oops.
I get to buy e-books after our latest Amazon order comes in. I am excite.
