eighthphaseI am so in love with my Kindle. I feel that can't be said enough. However, yesterday I had the opportunity to transport it, and I realised I had basically nothing to put it in. I wasn't about to just stick it in a bag - I've read that they really aren't that durable, and besides, it was raining. I ended up finding a really big piece of folded up fabric and putting it in that, which worked out okay I guess, but I wanted to get something to really use as a case. So I googled around for Kindle cases and covers, and while I had one in mind at the beginning, I saw one I liked a whole lot more.
So I'm hollowing out a journal to put my Kindle in.
I know, it's not really original. But I saw it, I liked it, and had all the supplies sitting around, so I figured... why not?
...then I ask my brother if he has an x-acto knife I can use; he first warns me that it's pretty sharp then says maybe I should let him do that part for me because he doesn't want me to end up cutting myself, and then when I ask for the actual knife he warns me again that it's sharp, so I need to be careful! I'm just like, seriously, dude? I'm a big girl, I know how to use an x-acto knife.
In completely unrelated news, I'm currently reading a serial whose subtitle is "The Stars Above". I couldn't figure out why that sounded so weird to me, until the last most recent update, when I realised it was because of Team Rocket's theme. "To extend our reach to the stars above!" So now every time I see the story's title I hear it in James's voice... which isn't necessarily a bad thing, I guess.
