eighthphaseAlso, while I'm thinking of it, an addendum to yesterday's angry post: It hasn't passed yet. It's what he wants to do, but it hasn't passed yet.
I heard this from my mum, who was working in her boss's office during a conference call about that exact topic. They're working on proposals regarding manned space missions to the moon, and they're still going - she said that, since the customer hadn't told them to stop working on the contracts and had, in fact, told them to keep going, they are. So nothing's set in stone yet.
...of course, she also said that some people (I think at NASA Ames, since I'd mentioned how employees there were not very pleased with the news) were so upset by the news that they straight got up and left. Just stopped working and left.
Obviously, these plans for NASA are not popular.
