I find I've taken to correcting my dad's texts. It's almost weird. Speaking of dad, I've got to go out there tonight, and Alexiel's coming with me. ): I shouldn't find that a bad thing, as PS3 games look better on his TV anyway, but it still bugs me a little.

Speaking of going out to dad's, I have 33 APUSH ids to do tonight. |: I mean, I could just put them off until some unspecified later time, as I have been, since I'm so lazy, but at the same time, I'd like to get that weight off my back.

...I've got it! If I can get my dad to pay for FFXIII, then I can work a self-imposed deadline, like, no FFXIII until I finish all my ids, or something like that. (Oh, and notetaking for the first 8 chapters of Malcolm X, and the annotated bibliography and notecards for the AP final project, and the three trig assignments I haven't done yet...) Well, there's a lot of work, but I think I can manage it.

Oh, and this post's single redeeming quality is that I'm posting it from my phone in AVID. /rulebreaker

I started writing up a whole backstory-filled post that basically boils down to: I know I want to major in English, possibly with a creative writing concentration. (Are concentrations British things, or does that word mean the same thing in American English as well? Or would I major in creative writing here, rather than English?) What the hell am I going to do with that? Oh, sure, there are things I'd like to do with that: write a book, what with that being the most obvious thing and all. But really I'd like to edit. I'm good at editing.

But where would I get hired for a job doing that? I mean, I would love working for the US branch of some Japanese game company - Atlus, or Square, or Bamco. At first I thought, oh, hey, I'd love to translate scripts! Except, of course, that doing so would involve a really amazing grasp of the Japanese language, which in itself would involve study abroad - "Oh, you poor thing," yeah, but then I don't do too well on my own, and I don't think I could do that. But I could edit translated scripts. I'm good at editing.

Then voice acting was mentioned, and omg, that would be brilliant. Of course, that would involve drama, and since my current idea is English/creative writing and foreign language, that would... not really fit. But if I could swing it, somehow. I could edit anime scripts. That could lead to voicing a character. (Isn't it the other way around?) I could work for Funimation, or Bandai. How cool would that be?

Basically I realised that if I want to make things like this happen I need to research the shit out of it.

As an aside, languages! I love languages. They're so... languagey. I really don't know how else to describe it. I want to learn so many languages. I still want to learn more Japanese. I want to learn more French. I want to learn German, and Italian. I want to pick up more British English, which is not so much another language as it is a dialect, I think. I want to learn Gaelic, even if it will take forever (and I've no doubt that it will). Mind, I don't exactly want to travel - don't do too well on my own, yeah? I just want to learn other languages.
