(no subject)

Stayed home again, mainly because of cat-induced insomnia exacerbating my already exacerbated issues. The solution: kick the cat out of the room and sleep for three hours, then watch anime.

Today I watched some of the English dub of the first season of Nanoha! It's pretty good, though I liked Raging Heart's voice better in Japanese. In English it just... doesn't feel the same at all. (Bardiche's English voice, though, is awesome. Best thing to come from the dub so far.) I also watched a few episodes of Panty and Stocking. I don't know why I did, as the show was described as "weirder than FLCL" and I really don't like FLCL, but I did it anyway. It wasn't bad, I guess... but otherwise I have absolutely no idea what to say about it.

I should probably have tried to catch up on Madoka Magica, but... Well, all I can say about that one is "not sure if want." Panty and Stocking I can deal with, even if it's something of a mindfuck in a brainless kind of way, but Madoka Magica? It's a mindfuck in the complete opposite direction. And I don't really think I'm in the mood for mentally traumatised little girls right now, thanks.

Maybe I'll look for something bubbly and fluffy to watch. That might help a bit...

Also, I learned that I shouldn't be allowed to do digital art! :D I checked dA, saw my prolific art-creating friends being more prolific with their art, felt bad for not posting in over four months, then decided to work a bit more on one of my WIPs. "Production Leader said GIMP is hard to use!" I thought. "I should prove him wrong." So I ended up doing lines for this one piece that I didn't have lines for. Next thing I knew, an hour had passed, my back hurt from sitting weird, my head hurt from staring at the computer screen without glasses, and my painkillers had worn off.

But the lines were done. That's the important part, right? (No. No it is not the important part.)

Finally, appointment for haircut next Friday. I'm kinda looking forward to it.
