(no subject)

I am really horrible at remembering to post. Admittedly I think I can make an excuse for the last week that includes elements of 1) writing like a goddamn fiend and 2) playing Mass Effect, but... really, I just keep forgetting to post. There's not really an excuse for that.

Although, speaking of writing like a goddamn fiend, I'm at about 43,000 words. Still behind! But catching up. (For reference, two days ago I was stalled out at 33,000. I've written 10,000 words so far in the last two days.) I've come to the conclusion that I am not going to finish the story this month! But I will hit 50,000, no doubt about that. 7,000 words left - I totally got this.

I'm starting to wind down my renegade!infiltrator run in Mass Effect - I'm in the middle of Bring Down The Sky right now and I have assignments to do, but plot-wise I'm right about to go to Virmire, so I'm really not too far off from the end. Then I can pop that Shepard into ME2 and pick up my vanguard!asshole paragon Shepard. I'm considering doing a no-Garrus run with her, just for the different dialogue in the Archangel mission... but I don't know if I want to play through all of ME1 without my bro. ): (Although, I'll probably be running Wrex and Tali most of the time on that file, to mirror Garrus and Liara with my infiltrator, so I wouldn't actually notice.)

I have my entire squad, save Ashley and Kaiden, kitted out with Phoenix armour (and Ashley might still have the set she started with; I don't know since I never use her). This includes my renegade m!Shep. It's pretty awesome seeing the whole party in white-and-pink. (I leave Wrex's helmet on, since the krogan helmet looks pretty cool and in Phoenix colours it's just goddamn hilarious.)

I should probably get back to writing before I lose all this drive.

I don't really get how music works or doesn't work for me. I mean... I wrote most of That I Were Like A Star on a combination of luther lansfeld and the techno turian playlist, but as I sat in the library trying to think of where to take things, some Linkin Park song came up and then I just... knew exactly what playlist I needed. (Naturally I had to make it, since I didn't already have it... huzzah for on-the-go playlists, that's all I'm saying.)

So then the next thing I know I've got four albums of My Chemical Romance with like thirteen Linkin Park songs mixed in for flavour, and I know exactly where I'm going with the story.

I'm not sure what I'm going to call this playlist. Probably "like a star", or maybe "rolling star". I'll have to think about it.
