(no subject)

Yesterday the fog burned off sometime between 1:30 and 3:30. And then it came back sometime between 4:00 and 6:30. Crazy!

I hit 50,000 last night, right around eleven or so. I'd like to say I actually hit it earlier, but the NaNoWriMo word counter and the OpenOffice word counter apparently really hate each other (and also me) because they differed by about 2,000 words. So I got to write an extra 2,000 words.

I haven't eaten food in way too long. I should probably go cook up something real quick as I'm getting ready for class...

I actually really don't like working in the speech lab. I would honestly prefer to avoid it if at all possible... but I need sixteen hours, and I have eight and a half. (It'll be ten and a half, once I write my speaker paper!) I don't know why I don't like it in there; I just... really, really don't. (Although I imagine the awkward placement of plugs might have something to do with it; crawling under the tables != desirable in any way at all.)

So I sat in there and worked on my speech outline until my computer decided to turn itself off.

I might have gotten further if I didn't have stats quizzes to do, but I did, so I was only in the lab for about an hour and a half. Fortunately I'll get the chance to stop in there later tomorrow, as I don't have English class - although I have got a meeting with my professor around one, so there's that. Unfortunately I won't get more time to work on my speech, as I have to give it tomorrow. =_=; And then the meeting with my English professor is about the rough draft of my research paper... which I haven't written yet. So I have to finish writing my speech and also write seven or eight pages about sexism in the video game industry, uh... tonight.

Is it any wonder I made the effort to meet my word goal last night? If I'd still had a few thousand words to write today... yeah, that would be a disaster.
