eighthphaseNo luck at the library; we asked about volunteering only to be told that the application deadline (which I, funnily enough, never came across in my research) was two days ago. /: So we kind of walked all that way for nothing. Still, we did get in a lot of exercise, and we also got lunch. And my feet don't hurt as badly as they did on Friday! Probably because the shoes I wore today actually fit... yeah.
Kristen seems interested in Other M, so I do think I'll give her my copy. I also helped her out a bit in Metroid... and was shocked at the poor state of her item collection. She had an okay amount of missiles, and she had almost all of the extra bits (though only one unknown item, I think... she's in for a surprise in the endgame), but only two (!) energy tanks! She didn't even have the Varia suit! She'd gone through most of Norfair, was trying to get to Ridley, and she didn't have the Varia suit! She said the guide she was following didn't tell her to do that. I told her to get a better guide (and also, "When a Chozo statue tells you to go somewhere, you're supposed to go there.")
I think I might be going to da's tonight. I can't say I'm looking forward to it... but I might be able to convince mum to take me over to GameStop before that, where I can trade in my games and preorder Other M. Maybe. Probably not, but maybe. (Or maybe I should do it when we go clothes shopping, since I need to stop at Jo-Ann's anyway and there's a GameStop in the same shopping centre.)
Also, yet another person's rejected my offer for a Ghost Paint Brush! This is the second time, and I'm starting to get annoyed. I'm hoping the third time is the charm; this time I checked the seller's profile to see if they'd been on recently, because I'm sick of waiting two weeks and then being rejected. So we'll see how this pans out.
