Managed to talk my way out of going to dad's, at least. I've got most of The Grapes of Wrath to read but at least I can do it in my nice, cozy bed~ I know I can't avoid it forever, but it's in my nature as a procrastinator to put things off as long as humanly possible anyway.
Speaking of procrastination, I'm probably going to reread Eir's Tomorrow again before I get started on Steinbeck. It's just such a great fic~! It's amazing. I love it.
Also read all of Matantei Loki, or at least all that was up on Mangafox (almost all the way through volume six; apparently there's only seven volumes). I hope the group scanlating it picks up Matantei Loki Ragnarok, too~ I've only got two volumes in English and I think that's all that ever got translated ): I hear there's actually five. I've got this pet theory that Ragnarok never actually happens in that world, not because Loki's been exiled but because it just was never meant to happen there, but that gets jossed if Ragnarok actually happens, but I don't know! ): Ugh, Azu, learn more Japanese so you can actually read you some freaking manga. orz (Of course, Mao's reason for disliking the Norns - she doesn't believe in fate, but rather that we make our own destinies - could be another reason why Ragnarok doesn't occur, which actually has some canon support, so I could always work it from that route instead.)
Also, new moodtheme~! I thought it was time for a custom one on this account, haha. All this FF7-ness makes me want to play FF7. I'm still on the first disc, damn it, I should have beaten it by now! |: I actually don't remember where I am. I know in one playthrough I was in Mount Nibel, right before the boss there, but my party was ridiculously underlevelled, so I ended up starting over. Maybe I'll play it in the summer.
