Sunday, 27 March 2011 09:30 amIn less depressing news, I had a lot of fun yesterday! Great America was weird. And also really wet. We went on Top Gun Flight Deck Top Gun in the rain, which was pretty epic until the ride was over and half the water on top of the thing decided to fall on my pants ¬_¬; Then we saw that the best rollercoaster ever had been torn out. I mean, literally torn out of the ground. Like, gigantic gaping hole full of mud kind of torn out. And then we hopped on the air cars to get to the other side of the park so we could leave, and the cars decided to stop for about ten minutes while we were up in the air over one of the ponds. While it was cold and raining and windy. I got a little anxious at first but then just kind of chilled. I actually felt kind of bad, Ruchia was freaking out and I was just "can you please stop yelling at the park employees down there I can't hear my iPod when you do that" /: But then the cars started back up again, so that was okay.
And then we went to the Great Mall. There's something very strange about the Great Mall - I swear I've been there before but I don't actually remember being there ever. It felt like I'd been there, I just couldn't remember when. (It's entirely possible that I hadn't actually been there before yesterday and actually just had so many people say "and then we might go to the Great Mall" without actually going that I just kind of assumed that I had to have gone at least once.) At any rate, I have been there now and it's this huge sprawling one-floor circular thing and... it wasn't actually all that great, really.
There was some school band there playing though. We passed them a couple of times, first when they were setting up and then when their jazz band was playing. They were pretty good.
I did end up having to buy a plush for Waller, because the ones at Great America looked like they'd been sitting under plastic tarps for five months (which they probably were). At Sanrio they only had Fat Pikachu and Big Fat Pikachu, so I bought a fat pikachu. They also had an Aeris plush! So I bought her to go along with my Cloud plush. I would have bought so many plush dolls, they had a ton of really cute ones, but I barely have the room for all the ones I do have T_T
