In other news, yesterday was a great day. I woke up feeling great, I started getting ready on time, things like that. I did my hair in pigtails and it looked really cute, though I thought to myself, "And anybody who is all 'oh that makes you look like a little girl' or whatever is just gonna have to deal with it" which is, I suppose, an empowering thought, except that then I realised that I don't know anybody like that any more, so I wouldn't have to worry about haters hating.
So basically I had this good feeling all day that not even precalculus could quash. It was pretty great.
And then government was pretty fun. We started a miniature presidential campaign, and I ended up as part of a lobbyist/interest group with this one other guy. The other two interest groups are, like, a farmers' union and an environmentalist organisation, but not us! No, we are the Shinra Pharmaceutical Company and we want to push our new weight loss supplement. (I suggested the name because, once we got the idea out, I felt really sleazy, and Shinra Electric's a really sleazy company! So I borrowed their name.)
I think I actually ended up doing more of the lobbying than my partner did, but that's okay, because it was really fun. Even if everybody rejected us. I really got into it! I was actually totally arguing with this one guy; the first time I talked to him he was all "talk to that other party and see what they say, then come back" so I did, though his answer still hadn't changed. I basically said "alright fine, I guess we're done here then" and he starts arguing in a kind of insulting way, so I'm just like "I bite my thumb at you, sir!" But I don't think he understood the reference /:
We're continuing with the campaign today, and I bet it's still going to be fun. And I still don't have anything to do in journalism (except play HPO I guess) and I still have a bunch of precal to do in precal (but at least I'm still ahead! barely! because my teacher is kind of a jerk!) and... Waller isn't going to be there today, so that actually really sucks.
But today's the day! So that's all totally fine.
