I learned, to my great horror, that my school has installed new internet filtering software. On the plus side, this means that teachers can now log in and circumvent the filtering instead of having to ask the students for working proxies. On the minus side, the filtering is stricter. Livejournal is now blocked because it has "unauthorised Friendship content". I do not know what Friendship content is, but the people who created the filter software must be very lonely if they think friendship is bad. Maybe they should watch My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic.

(I am not going to say any more on the subject of My Little Pony, by the way. Maybe I've watched it, maybe I haven't. Only my internet history will know the truth.)

I have a super busy weekend ahead of me and I kind of hate it, a little. Today after I get home I've got to make tons of brownies, and sort through clothes, and go to the store and buy Hot Dog Accessories, and then go over to Mez's house and price things. (But not any of the clothes, because they just go in a huge pile, "Four for a dollar!") Then tomorrow I get to go back to Mez's house around eight in the morning, work the garage sale until two (fortunately Pinky and I are on Hot Dog Duty, which involves... cooking hot dogs. And not helping random people who can't read price tags, because I hate doing that). Why until two? Because then I have to get ready for prom! :D (That is not a serious smiley. I am not serious about it.) I'm actually going this year, and I have to be at Shiki's mum's house by, like, five. It probably won't take me three hours to get ready but at least I have them. There's an after party back at Shiki's mum's house but we all know it'll consist of us falling asleep in her living room.

Moving on. I've been meaning to take my laptop to school, because there's only one class where I have serious things to do and I'm terminally bored in the other three. Except that I don't have a case for it! It didn't come with one and I don't have a bag big enough that isn't just too big in general. I went to Staples yesterday but couldn't find a case big enough. ): (I don't believe Staples's advertising slogan. I have never walked in there and found what I was looking for, that's not easy at all.) Yesterday I joked that the only thing I own big enough to fit my laptop is the box it came in!

This morning I found out that was a lie. The box my tablet came in fits it perfectly, with room for peripherals. So I guess I've found myself a tablet case! I can inflict the ridiculousness of Atropos on all my friends once more.

Anyway, I need to update some files and make breakfast time, so I'll end this here. Om nom nom chicken leftovers.

I have to say, dad's house is a little boring without the PS3. |: Of course, once I told him what I planned to do in an attempt to fix it, he was all, "No. You're not doing that to my stuff." even though at this point, despite not being around when it was installed at all, I probably know more about how it works than he does. And really, it's a lot of unplugging stuff and plugging it back in once it's been moved into the other room.

Also, the word 'cable' can be used in confusing ways. And by confusing ways I mean as a synonym for 'cord,' which gets confusing when you're talking about the cord (or cable) used to connect your cable box to various things, like the television or the modem. Or the cable box, for that matter. "Take the cable cable from the cable and plug it into the modem." What did I actually mean by that?

I got some new mascara and some eyeliner yesterday, though, which... isn't a bad thing. My well-meaning older brother threw out my mascara like a month ago, so I needed to get some more anyway. The eyeliner looked a little strange when I put it on, but then mum did it the same way when I asked her to do it, so I figure it's just the lack of lower lid lining (which... yeah, crayon eyeliner plus lower lid inside the lash line is so not happening).

New classes tomorrow ^o^ It's not as cool as it sounds, really. (Wait, let's take a moment to talk about the doughnuts dad just brought over. They're delicious and also almost entirely all cake doughnuts. I love cake doughnuts. They're my favourite kind. I don't think a lot of people like them, but I love them. :9) Um. Classes. Right. I still have APE/APUSH, and I still have French, though it's right before lunch now instead of right after lunch. I have a math class again (haven't had one in over a year, haha) and... I'm back to AVID, even if only as a tutor.

My feelings on AVID are mixed. I mean, I like Mr Williams and all, he's a good teacher, and he was the first maths teacher I've ever had who I was able to actually learn from. And I think AVID is a great idea, even if it's not a class that I personally need. I just... don't think the two should really go together. /: It's like... temperment-wise, the Williams is a lot like Morooka-sensei from Persona 4. He really is. (Two years ago before Christmas I even quoted the "life-journals and my-places" line during class and everyone thought it was spot-on.) He's not like, "Oh, you guys did really great, let's go on a field trip!" but more like, "If you guys do this and this and this exactly to my liking, you could go on a field trip. That you plan yourselves."

But enough about that. Do knee-socks and business-type skirts look strange together? I want to dress up tomorrow and make a nice impression (haha, yeah, then on Tuesday I come back in combat boots and skinny jeans and two jackets like I always do, that'll look great) but the only nylons I have make my legs look, like, orange. ):
